American Medical Centre to Open a New Branch in Limassol
Limassol is set to welcome a cutting-edge private medical facility, thanks to a substantial €50 million investment. This ambitious project, an extension of the renowned American Medical Centre, is currently awaiting final approval from local authorities.
C & SO Medical Properties Ltd, the company behind the project, has already submitted all necessary documentation, with a response expected soon. Once approved, construction is projected to be completed within 18 months.
"All preparatory work has been finalized, including financing, design, and feasibility studies. The contractor is ready to commence construction," stated a representative from C & SO Medical Properties Ltd.
State-of-the-Art Medical Facility
The new medical centre will be built on a 2,000m² plot near the former Limassol State Hospital. Key features of the 10-storey facility include:
- 68 inpatient beds
- Advanced diagnostic technology, including CT and MRI scanners
- A fully equipped emergency department
- Operating theatres and an intensive care unit
- A rooftop helipad for emergency medical evacuations
- Two underground levels dedicated to parking
The ground floor will house patient examination rooms, while the second and third floors will also be designated for parking. The fourth to ninth floors will accommodate patient wards, surgical theatres, and staff facilities. The tenth floor will be reserved for storage and technical equipment.
